Lady Gaga and Elton John

This performance was in this years Grammys. Its my favorite Gaga performance and just felt like sharing it. I also really like the song Elton John sings which is "Your Song" and I like how they created a medley for the two songs. The performance is weird but what can you expect from Lady Gaga!

Play This List!

Today is an original playlist by me. The last one we had was not made by myself but someone else. I'm sorry I haven't done one, its just school was tough the last week and now I am in spring break relaxing. I cant really think of a topic for this playlist so I guess we can just call it a random playlist.

  1. Take It Off by Kesha
  2. Todo Por Ti by Alana
  3. Erase and Rewind by Ashley Tisdale
  4. Tambourine by Eve
  5. Dream On by Aerosmith
  6. Buscando un Final by Ilona
  7. Colgando en tus manos by Carlos Baute ft Marta Sanchez
  8. Id Hate to Be You When People Find Out What This Song is About by Mayday Parade
  9. So Hard by Rihanna
  10. The Anthem (Calabria Remix) by Pitbull and Lil Jon

There is really no specific topic towards this playlist, just fun songs I chose randomly.

  1. I heard this song for the first time this week. Its really good and cool to dance to. Kesha continues again her deep topics, exploring in this song how we turn into animals when we party and "take it off". Ah so deep!
  2. My favorite part of this song is the piano. I had mentioned this band in a previous post and how the girl in it is so amazing. The lyrics of this song are so sweet but at the same time they sound deep because of the rhythm gives the song, making it sound serious yet loving.
  3. This song makes me think of escaping and leaving everything behind. Its a great pump up song when you need to feel better or you are running in the gym.
  4. This is a very addictive song. Once you here it once you cant stop. It is played in the movie Wild Child when Poppy (Emma Roberts) does a dance in the movie. Some friends of mine at school and myself are planning on doing a dance to it to present. Like anyone cares. Still the song is fun and I encourage everyone to dance to it.
  5. This song is so deep. I like the guitar and the singers voice. Ive become obsessed with aerosmith these days, I have no idea why. I look them up in google and I watch videos on them. Do you notice that Steve Tyler's voice sounds different in this song than in say "Just Feel Better"? Maybe its an old recording I don't know.
  6. This song is all about finding your purpose in life and doing what you want. I like how cheerful it is and optimistic.
  7. So cheesy! Still if anyone was to dedicate this song to me, Id probably love it. Don't get me wrong I like the song. I like how there is a female and male voice because if it had been just one voice singing the whole thing, I don't think I would even have it in my iTunes. I like the sound of the two voices and yes I admit the lyrics are sweet.
  8. I found this song recently. I'm really curious about this band and want to find more songs by them. The title makes the song sound so harsh but actually its a sweet song. Why would anyone not want to be the person this song is written about?
  9. Rhianna has transformed. Remember that song "S.O.S"? This is so different. She has really changed in her song topics, maybe it was that whole Chris Brown incident.
  10. The scary men unite! Lil Jon makes me laugh how he says "Lets go ladies" with that tough guy attitude of his. Anyway, this song is fun to dance to and even though the lyrics aren't very pretty the rhythm is great.

I know its not the longest playlist out there but its still full of fun songs. I hope you like it.

Some Vids to Check Out

I just felt like sharing these two videos. I have no idea why. Well I know that I wanted to show the Justin Bieber one because I havent seen it myself and just felt it would be fun to have it on here. Miley is here maybe because I just remebered her new movie is coming out and I actually like this song. Its deep and her voice sounds pretty when she sings it.
Let me know what you think!!

Newly Discovered Band

I watch M.T.V alot. I enjoy their reality shows and when they play music videos they usually play the ones I am interested in. Anyway for about a month now they keep playing this mysterious video that does not have a description box like the rest. You know, those little signs that tell you what the name of the band is and what the name of the song is, this song never has it. Its kind of frustrating to like the song but have no idea how to look for it. So do to my great mind, this morning right after the reality show I watched I was ready to copy the lyrics of the song that way I could google them and finally see who this group was. The plan worked. I now know not only what the name of the song is but I also know what the name of the group is.
I wont tell you the song right now because I am planing on having it as my song of the week but I sure can tell you the name of the band, Alana.

Alana has five official members called Camila Silberstein, Anthony Albert, Tito Domic, Sckott Rocker, and Esteban Domic. I seriously thought they were form Argentina but they are actually from Chile. What really drew me to this band was that I found out that Camila composes the lyrics, the music, and sings. I really admire artist that have that spark of creativity that makes them the true owner of their songs. If you listen to their songs the lyrics and the music are really really good. In a way I look up to her because I also compose (more like try) my own songs. And trust me when I say it is not easy.

I had never heard of this group before and you can tell they are just beginning to gain popularity and being recognized. I really hope they make it as a really popular band because personally I think they are amazing and all the time I spent looking for that song was worth it. I was going to put one of their song below but I am not in a very good computer but I promise I will add it later or you can got to YouTube and type the bands name in. Either way it will be totally worth it.

Here it is:

Some Songs That Trigger My Imagination

You know how some songs make you happy and some songs make you sad? Some trigger some dark corners in your mind where you were holding back memories of something, others remind you of people or significant moments in your life. I feel deeply connected to music because I can express myself with it in a way that might seem clear but can also have some obscure meaning to it. I know this is a really random post but I just felt like posting something about feeling, seeing how my blog is called feeldatbeat.
When there are those terrible moments in which I feel sad or lonely some songs come to my mind like:
Like a Stone by Audioslave
Swim by Jacks Mannequin
Loser by 3 Doors Down
Its like instinctive I put any of these three songs and am completely in tune with what the lyrics say or what they rhythm makes me feel. They all have that tone that matches the mood somehow in a weird way. Its not that I am a depressed person that sits around just crying her heart out over songs, no I have a life.
Then there are those moments when there is just too much time to be in my own head. I live in Colombia in the capital but I live in the suburbs. Its a small town 45 minutes away from my school so the bus rides can be long. In those 45 minutes of interior searching many thoughts come up in my mind. If its a thought about letting go of an argument and just getting over any kind of problems I had, I tend to lean toward the alternative rock side. Dome songs in my alternative rock side are:
Girls Not Grey by AFI
Let Me Rest In Peace by James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Musical Episode)
Dream On by Aerosmith
Its My Life by Bon Jovi
Painting Flowers by All Time Low
Aren't these total warrior songs or what? Seriously if you are having trouble with something or someone and want to get over it just listen to one of these songs. They truly do help surpass challenges.
In the bus, when I am truly happy, I like to listen to songs that are more upbeat. This part varies alot depending on the newest song I have listened to and caught my attention. Sometimes it could be rap, others reggaeton, and sometimes just normal upbeat songs.
Mi Alma Se Muere (Remix) by Fuego ft Pitbull and Omega
Ridin Solo by Jason Derulo
Press It Up by Sean Paul
Lo Que No Sabes Tu by Chino y Nacho
El Ritmo No Perdona by Daddy Yankee
These are just some of the songs that are like happy pills, they instantly brighten my day somehow.
Its part of human nature to day dream right? Well that's another thing that happens in these annoyingly long bus rides. I day dream about alot of things but well there is certain things that are always on my mind and these songs help enhance the day dream with back round music:
Te Quiero de Verdad by J Balvin
Say When by The Fray
I Must be Dreaming by The Maine
Bodies by Robin Williams
Tear Drops on My Guitar by Taylor Swift
Today Was A Fairytale by Taylor Swift
I know this was a totally random post but oh well. I just felt like highlighting how I truly do believe in the power of music and how it helps us express ourselves somehow. Ill make a playlist of these songs so you get a feel for them. Enjoy!

Just Feel Better by Santana ft Steve Tyler

This song describes exactly what I have been feeling these days. Lets just say I haven't had the greatest of weeks. Tones of homework, projects due, and friend trouble is not what I call a piece of cake. I had heard this song when it came out but I hadn't listened to it since and I forgot how great it is. Hello? Santana, the greatest guitarist of the world, doing his magic and Steve Tyler's voice is pure musical genius. Check out the video:

Sure the video is a bit disturbing with all the teacher harassment and the fact that Steve Tyler is kissing a girl who is REALLY young(0:54) , but look past that and into the meaning of the video and of the song. That's why it is the song of the week. I am sure there are lots of people out there who are feeling that they cant see through the haze around them. I know I am one of them right here right now. The song is all about finding a way to feel better and not focus on the problem at hand. Its all about Carpe Diem(sorry we watched The Dead Poets Society in class today)! Freeing yourself from that that is holding you back.
Lets see what can I say about these two gentlemen. We've got Santana who was born in Jalisco, Mexico in July 20, 1947. He has been playing the guitar since he was 8 and has been in the music business for 40 years. Steve Tyler is not the only other artist he has played with, his list of featured artist like Michelle Branch and Chad Kroeger. Then there is Steve Tyler, father of Liv Tyler. He was born in New York in March 26, 1948. Since 1970 he has been in the recognized band Aerosmith but before he used to be in another band called The Strangers where he played the drums.

Please feel free to comment on this song! I hope you like it!

A Video to Check Out

A friend sent me this video and I liked it alot. Its a mix of many Taylor Swift songs like Lovestory, Teardrops On My Guitar, and more. When I heard it the first time I was not understanding what songs were mixed up in the medley but if you listen closely you can catch the verses of popular Taylor Swift songs in there.
I hope you enjoy!

Perfect Playlist: Part 2

As I promised I am back again to give my response to the songs on the Perfect Chemistry playlist. I heard all of the songs and I am ready to review them, just like any other playlist I have done.

  1. So What is a great power up song if you feel pumped. Its great for running too and getting ready to stand your ground. Its rhythm is perfect as well as the lyrics to make you feel unstoppable and prepared for anything.
  2. A song with not much inner meaning but with a great rhythm. Sure everyone strives for attention but this song makes it sound all playful. Lets just say that from personal experience of someone I know striving for attention can be the worst thing you do.
  3. When I heard this song I completely fell in love with it. Its like when you discover a whole new song and get really excited because you completely related to it. Simon Elkels comment on this song is for a part in the book when the two characters cant stop thinking of each other and now that I have heard it I completely agree
  4. What I liked about "My People" was that the singer showed that he was truly proud of his culture and introduces the song in a positive tune but then explains that even though he loves them, there are troubles. The piano that is played throughout the song is also really pretty.
  5. Ah good old Pitbull and Lil Jon! Don't these two guys freak you out? Sure they are great rappers but oh my god are they frightening. Imagine going into a club somewhere and this bald guy and his henchman with a grill in his mouth, come up to you and tell you to go crazy. Frightening. Still the song is really good, well I am not saying it has much meaning to it but its very danceable.
  6. Do you have any idea how long I have been looking for this song? Years! I never knew who sang it or what it was called but I always had the melody kind of stuck in my head. Now that I get to listen to it closely I realize its actually a really sweet song and the singers voice sounds like the singer from Nickleback. This is another song I completely agree would go great in the movie.
  7. Lets just say this is a sweat song that made me all teary eyed. The Fray is a great band and this is another song in which they prove their talent to everyone.
  8. I loved how this song sounded. It sounded romantic but at the same time like the singer is not believing the girl will come that its up to her. As I read the authors comment on this song its completely the same feelings Alex (the character) was feeling as he waited for the girl to make her decision.
  9. Want to here a story? When I was in K5, I was in ballet. Don't ask me why we were dancing this song that is well not really ballet. Now that I think back the choreography wasn't ballet either. MMM. Still my poor ballet skills don't mean this is a bad song, its actually one of the best Santana songs out there. And hello, Rob Thomase´s voice is like so mysterious and goes great with the Latin/rock rhythm.
  10. Not really my style but I guess it goes with the book.
  11. Demi Lovato! I love her voice and how she is actually really talented. You know how all Disney stars have to have albums out? Hers is actually really good and its not like nay other Disney CD. This isn't my favorite song of hers but she sounds amazing.
  12. Now that's what I am talking about! Daddy Yankee, Zion, and Lennox! If you have a Latino character in a book its a must to have some kind of reggaeton as your inspiration. Wow this song is kind of old. Its great and its actually cute (in opposition to other reggaeton songs).
  13. This is like the sweetest song Katy Perry has ever sung. We´ve all had thought about someone who we know we aren't supposed to be thinking about. This song shows that angst of emotions of someone who you feel connected to but disappears in reality and is only alive in our heads. Goes great with the book and is excellent for the emotions Brittany experiences.
  14. I just discovered a new power up song for exercising. This song is very upbeat and I can definitely see it playing in a fight scene in the book.
  15. Enrique Iglesias, that hearthrob. Now if a guy truly wants to dedicate a song to a girl, sung by a man, and does not have the intention of annoying her, Enrique is always the way to go. I don't know if its just that his songs have enough cheesiness to last you a lifetime or its his soft, sexy, voice.
  16. A great song to apologize to someone and complement them at the same time.

If you think this playlist rules, you should really read this book. Its so romantic and once you read it you see how each of the songs might have helped the author through the process of writing such a great novel. Enjoy!

Perfect Playlist

This weeks playlist is not of my own creation but based on a book. I read this book called Perfect Chemistry by Simon Elkels and I checked out the books wepage and saw that it had its own playlist. The book is a romance between two very diffrent characters. You have the popular rich girl who seems to have it all and then you have the hot latino stud who seems to always get in trouble. When they are united as lab partners and have to deal with eachothers diffrences, something else sparks between them. All this is a mixture of emotions that creates a great playlist. I havent heard many of the songs so I am going to download them tonight and listen to them throughout the day and will report back on that tomorrow.
1. So What, by Pink
2. When I Grow Up, by The Pussycat Dolls
3. Addicted, by Saving Abel
4. My People, by R.P.M.
5. Now and Later, by R.P.M. / Krazy, by Pitbull
.6. Wherever You Will Go, by The Calling.
7. Never Say Never, by The Fray
8. Say When, by The Fray
9. Smooth, by Santana and Rob Thomas
10. Give me Your Love, by Pat McCurdy
11. Don’t Forget, by Demi Lavato

12. Tu Principe, by Daddy Yankee
13. Thinking of You, by Katy Perry
14. Not Listening, by Papa Roach
15. Hero, by Enrique Iglesias
16. Sorry, by Buckcherry

25 For Haiti: A Teenage Craze!

I have no idea why people in my school became particullarly crazy for this video. Its not exactlly girl who became obsessed but the boys. Its died down a bit but there was a time in which they wouldnt stop singing it and commenting on how great it was. Sure I saw the video but I didnt think it was such a big deal but then I come to school and I am greeted into my PDR (personal development and relationships) class with the chorus of such said song, sung by the voices of my male peers.

I guess its the idea that there are all these singers in the video that make it extra appealing because it is not only one voice all the time but many that change and add their own flavor into the song. Ok so the hotness of some singers come in handy too ( ehm) but still its music we have to apreciate.

Now the really funny thing is that latin singers decided to make their own version a copy of this one. Its the exact same thing but diffrent people (half of whom I have no idea who they are) but htey are basically in the same environment.

Which video did you like best? Here is the latin one just so you check it out:

Song of the Week: Eres

"Eres" by Cafe Tacuba is the song of the week. The song is not very recent and it is actually the only song I have heard from this band. Its very sweet and the singers voice makes me think of a fictional character in a book I recently read.

Cafe Tacuba is a Mexican band that plays alternative rock. They have been playing since 1989 and have been signed by universal music and Warner music. The members of the band include Rubén Albarrán ( guitar and voice), Emmanuel del Real Díaz (keyboard, guitar, and voice), José Alfredo Rangel Arroyo (guitar) y Enrique Rangel Arroyo (base). They have taken out more than 5 albums and participated in various soundtracks of movies. They have also worked on tributes to other artist such as Los Tres and Jose Jose.

What I like about this song is the lyrics. The rhythm is cool too but it gets monotonous after a while. The lyrics are really sweet and even though the word "eres" is repeated alot what is said after it every time is cheesy but sweet. The guys voice is also soft and calm and not brusque like some other voices. He keeps the melody flowing and giving it that romantic feel.

I hope you enjoy the song and if you have any comment you can put them below. Don't forget to check out the Top Ten Which I just updated with new songs.

A Fun Video

I really like this reggaeton singer because the diffence between him and the others singers of his genre is that he acctually writes nice songs. In this one he talks about how he wont fall inlove again but he doesnt do it in a bad way but makes sound nice. He was in last weeks latin playlist his name is J Balvin and I encourage you to check out his album "El Negocio". What makes me truly proud of him is that he is from the same country I am from and the fact that he is making reggaeton acctually clean in his music shows a positive outlook on my country. Go J Balvin!

Artists Profile: The Maine

This week I found out about this really cool band called The Maine. Their music is really sweet and it made a big impression on me when I heard them so, I would like to make this post all about The Maine.

The band was formed in Phoenix. Arizona back in 2007 by Ryan Osterman, Alex Ross, bassist Garrett Nickelsen, singer John O'Callaghan and drummer Pat Kirch. The singer of the band was asked to join after he was heard singing while drunk in a party by the drummers brother who is their manager. Their influences include Third Eye Blind, Ivory, Death Cab For Cutie, and The Starting Line. Even the name of the band was chosen from a song by Ivory called "Coast of Maine". Ryan Osterman quit the band to go down his own path in the music business and that later added Jared Monaco as his replacement. Monaco was a childhood friend of O ´Callaghan's. Their most recent album is called "Cant Stop Wont Stop" and they are already launching their deluxe edition of the album which includes a documentary and two bonus tracks.

The current members of the band are the following:

Jhon O´Callaghan (vocals)
Jared Monaco (guitar)
Kennedy Brock(guitar+vocals)
Garret Nickelsen(bass)
Pat Kirch(drums)

Their sound is very alternative and can be described as a '90s radio rock band that turned their sound into a generic but still infectious pop-punk sound. The lyrics are very inspiring. The lead singer has a very soothing voice that goes along great with the melodies and symphonies of the music
To end this post, I would like to post a video of one of the bands songs called "Into Your Arms" I hope you like it and check out the band!

A Woman Playlist

Hi everyone! Continuing with this weeks women's week, I have put together a playlist showing fierce woman in the music business. You can really look up to these woman as representatives of our gender in one of the biggest businesses in the world. Not only are these woman great but they are the top at what they do and unique in their own way.

  1. Me, Myself and I by Beyonce
  2. Fall to Pieces by Avril Lavigne
  3. Las de la intuicion by Shakira
  4. Fearless by Taylor Swift
  5. Work by Ciara and Missy Elliot
  6. Single Ladies by Beyonce
  7. Glamorous by Fergie
  8. Papi te quiero by Ivy Queen
  9. Somebody to Love by Leighton Meester
  10. Hot and Cold by Katy Perry
  11. I Don't Need a Man by The Pussycat Dolls

All these woman are clear examples of how great and talented all woman are. Some songs are empowering while others are in the list to show big stars.

  1. Beyonce is definitely a pioneer in the music world. She is a strong confident woman who stays true to herself and doesn't take things for granted. An example of what a great person she is was when she let Taylor Swift finish her VMA speech after Kanye West interrupted her to praise Beyonce. This song is also an empowering song because it tells females that its OK and that all you need to be happy sometimes is yourself and nothing else.
  2. Avril Lavigne is admirable for her chameleon ways. On her most recent CD, the best Damn thing, she completely transformed herself and took chances by tweaking her sound a bit. She came out triumphant and is one of the best selling artist out there.
  3. Shakira has a big responsibility on her shoulders being one of the most successful Latin Artist out there. This song is really catchy and it says that "las mujeres son las de la intuicion" which means that we do know what to do by instinct.
  4. If you haven't heard of Taylor Swift you are missing out on one of the biggest phenomena out there. Taylor Swift is only 20 and composes all her songs. She has won countless awards and is very successful thanks to her unique sound. This song is also a message because it tells woman that they have to be fearless and not be afraid of taking chances.
  5. In this song we have two great ladies. Ciara is one of the biggest Hip- Hop artists out there and Missy Elliot is a very successful female rapper. They both represent woman in music genres that are only expected for men to follow. Not only that but they are super talented.
  6. I already mentioned Beyonce but this song is all about woman power too. How fierce and powerful we are.
  7. What I like about this song is that through it Fergie shows how she made it into the big leagues but keeps herself grounded. She is also a big breakout female artist, been in The Black Eyed Peas. and being the only lady there.
  8. Ivy Queen is one of the only female artist that sings in the reggaeton genre. She is quite popular and sings clean good songs as well as the standard nasty ones. She is extremely talented and shows how woman can break into a mans world.
  9. Leighton Meesters music carrier is just getting stated but she has been extremely popular because of her acting skills in the hit T.V series Gossip Girl.
  10. Who doesn't know who Katy Perry is? She has one of the greatest voices out there and sings about the craziest topics sometimes. Still she is a grounded artist and has become very successful thanks to her One of the Boys album.
  11. The Pussycat Dolls are total woman power. This song is all about how a woman doesn't need a man to be happy and satisfied.

I hope you enjoy this playlist!

Original Tuesday

I recently found this song called The Promise by Blue Skies. Its really pretty and it kind of goes with our Women Power week. When I first saw the video I thought it was different guys but then I read the guys bio and saw that it is just one. This guy is really determined and has a witty sense of humor.

The rhythm of the song is great. It reminds me of the music of The All American Rejects and his voice is kind of like the lead singers. But seriously the rhythm is so good. The different guitars merge to make a unique sound and the drums are there too. The main focus of the song are the three guitars though. His voice is not the best but I am sure that if he works on it he will be an awesome singer.

I hope you enjoy!

Song of the Week and Womens Day!

Happy Women's Day to all females out there! This international day is all about women empowerment and how important our role is in society. Therefore I will be posting posts all week long that show truly powerful women in the music biz. To start of, our song of the week is Independent Woman by Destiny's Child. Yeah I know its kind of an old song but it truly shows how tough we are. Whats also great about this song is that its from the Charlies Angels soundtrack, which is a movie all about showing female power.

You probably know who Beyonce is, but before becoming THE Beyonce. she was part of a girls music group called Destiny's Child. Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are the other two ladies that make up this group. Their music was a mix of R&B/Hip-Hop and Pop. They were one of the biggest selling female groups in history and represented women power in all of their songs. The group officially split in 2001 in Barcelona but each member continued down their paths alone in the music business.

I heard this song a long time ago and all day long in school I was thinking how I was going to make this my song of the week. If you listen to the lyrics they are all about how women can make it on their own and don't need a man to survive. The rhythm of the song is also good but the main focus is the voice of the singers and the lyrics.

I hope you enjoy this song and if you are a woman, that it empowers you and makes you feel unstoppable!

Video Talk

You have probably heard of this guy called Justin Bieber. He has become a pretty famous singer because of hits like One Time, One Less Lonely Girl, and now he brings Baby featuring Ludacris. The video talk today is about his most recent video called Baby. Check it out:

I don't know why but the first time I saw this video I was laughing all the time. Its just funny that Justin doesn't look like a 15 year old and that he is and is singing about the love of his life when he probably hasn't had a girlfriend. Then there is the whole plot of the video of him chasing this poor girl who obviously doesn't wanna be with him but he insits and insists.
The best part of the video though is the dancing. I give Justin points for being able to dance like Michael Jackson and because the video has an awesome showdown between guys and girls. I didn't feel that just because Justin is a guy the guys had more dance power but the girls also got to show what they are made of.
Then there is Ludacris. The guy that walks into a kids video and talks about his first love. Nothing like remembering being thirteen and being in the playground. Oh wait, something doesn't sound right. Middle school = no playground. Ludacris must have been a special kid to wander out to the playground or maybe they did have a playground. All I know is its weird that he calls it the playground that is so elementary talk. I also laughed when there was that awkward moment when Ludacris is strangling Justin.
Well you should check out the video and say what you want. Don't think I dislike Justin Bieber I kinda like some of his songs but this video was way to dramatic for a boy whose leading female is taller.

Latin Playlist!

Hello! This week I put up a fun danceable playlist following my anger management playlist of last week. I am a proud latin girl and would like to share with you what we young Latin people like to listen to. Its not that we sit and listen to our grandparents old songs, no we have music that identifies us as the young teenagers we are. Reggaeton is a new form of music that has been taking much control in our culture the past years. Its a genre of music with the same rhythm in the back round and the lyrics can either be pretty or just basic nasty. Even though this genre is new it keeps typical rhythm in it in some songs. Here is the playlist:

  1. Pa Maite by Carlos Vives
  2. Guajira by Yerbabuena
  3. Abusadora by Wisin y Yandel
  4. Gitana by Shakira
  5. Lo Hecho Esta Hecho by Shakira
  6. No Me vuelvo a Enamorar by J Balvin
  7. Excuse Me by Dazoo
  8. El Ritmo No Perdona by Daddy Yankee
  9. Ella Anda Sola by Don Omar
  10. Carmelina by Lucas Arnau
  11. Celos by Zion y Lenox
  12. Te Siento by Wisin y Yandel
  13. Che Mapale by Checo Acosta

Not all the songs here are reggaeton, some are Latin pop and kind of typical music. They are really good songs that have a fun mood.

  1. Pa Maite is by a Colombian artist who sings a genre know as vallenato. This song is cool because it is not the typical vallenato but a mix of vallenato with some pop.
  2. This song is the soundtrack of a very good movie called "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights" its a really rhythmic song and what is so cool about it is that at the same time that it has its typical sound it also has rap mixed in.
  3. Wisin and Yandel are so cool! Sometimes their songs are very offensive but this one is not that bad. They are funny because they rime the weirdest words sometimes. This song is fun to dance to and the mix of their voices is really cool because Yandel has a soft voice while Wisin has a tough guy voice.
  4. I fell in love with this song. You might have heard the English version but the Spanish version is my favorite. I also like how the song is a power song about how women are independent and don't need a guy.
  5. The best part of this song is the video. The choreography on the bed is very cool. The lyrics are about accepting your mistakes but the song presents the message in the form of a story line.
  6. I recently heard this song and liked it very much. Basically because there are those moments when a girl is tired of guys. The guy in the song talks about a girl but a girl can so apply this to her life. Its the song for that moment when a guy is the last thing you want to see.
  7. This song is a mix of reggaeton and pop. What I like the most about this song is that there is a female in there. Though if you listen to the lyrics they aren't that clean but the rythm is still fun.
  8. I have an inside joke with a friend with this song. Its just so funny how the song sounds when he is saying " a que te pego, a que te pego", well yeah it isn't very pretty to be told you are going to be hit but still the song is fun to dance to and have inside jokes.
  9. I really like the flute in this song.
  10. Even though the singer only mentions one person in the song it is a global message of romance,
  11. I like how this song begins and then turns into this song about a jealous boyfriend who need to get a life.
  12. I guess this song is like a mix of dirty and romantic. It depends on how you listen to it it might seem more romantic than dirty. Its not excessively dirty just moderate.
  13. One word: Happy.

Hope you enjoy.

Whatch Say

Following my Jason Derulo craze I decided to upload a video of him singing Whatch Say, on of the songs in his new self titled album. You can really see how all the studying of the diffrent fields, particularly dance affect his performance. Enjoy!

Original Tuesday

This girl is called Tiffany Alvord and she sings pop music. On her YouTube channel she has posted herself singing popular songs just with the guitar accompanying her and not only that but, she also post videos of songs she composes herself. She has been composing since she was 10 years old and the instruments she uses to accompany herself are the guitar and the piano. She has become quite popular thanks to her youtube videos and states that things are starting to happen.

What I like about the song above is that it is based on something very upseting and she manages to make a great song out of it. Her voice is really sweet and the composition on the guitar to acompany her is amazing. I also like that she put herself in the shoes of a person who has a loved one fighting and she doesnt do it in a cheesy untrue way but the total opposite. She makes it realistic and its like you are looking into the soul of someone with a fighting loved one. You should really check out more of her videos!

Song of the Week!

This week has been crazy! Don't even get me started on the amount of homework I just dealed with and it is only Monday! Not to mention that there are some crazy things going on around the city, not good. The only positive thing is that there is a very slight chance that tomorrow there is no school which would be really nice. The song for this week is by an artist I had already mentioned called Jason Derulo. His new album just came out and I strongly recomend it to all of you. So here is this weeks song by the great Jason Derulo and its called Ridin´Solo.

Jason Derulo is from Miami, Florida and was born Jason Desrouleaux but changed his last name so it was easier to pronounce. The reason he is so talented is because of all the preparation he has had. He has studied opera, theater, and ballet. He went to Dillard Center for the Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. He has been preparing for this moment all his life and he did it in a good honest way which just draws more audience to him.

What I really like about this song is that it is so positive and that sometimes you don't need someone else to go along with you but to do things for yourself. Its also a song that was taken out from a glee episode because at the beginning and throughout the song you here the melody of a song called Bitter Sweet Symphony. The energy of the song is just amazing and his voice sounds like he himself is experiencing general happiness which is just awesome.

Hope you enjoy the song ppl!
